MARIE M. CARNEY age 85 of Nunda, died Monday October 25, 2021 at Hornell Gardens in Hornell, NY.  She was born the daughter of Ernest and Jessie (Mitchell) Tilton on October 20, 1936 in Bristol, NY.  She was a member of the 7 Day Advent Church in Arcade.  She loved to cook and listen to country music.

She is survived 2 children Randy (Katherine) Smathers and Deborah (Earl William Sr.) Case both of Hunt.  2 step children Charles and Roy Carney both of Nunda.  13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 Great-great granddaughter.  Siblings Kathy McGuiness, Robert (Barb) Tilton both of Hunt and Edward (Cindy) Tilton of Nunda.  Several nieces, nephews and dear friends.  She was predeceased by her husband's Lawrence Smathers and Bruce Carney, son Ronald Smathers and grandson Earl William Case Jr.

No prior calling.   Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Short Tract Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
