MARILU ORLANDO FOWLER age 73 of 12 Barone Avenue, Mount Morris, NY, died suddenly Thursday January 2, 2014 at her home. She was born the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Phillips) Orlando on December 24, 1940 in Rochester, NY. She received her teachers degree and masters of education from SUNY at Geneseo. She taught Elementary Education at Mount Morris Central School for 37 ½ years retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Red Hats Bellamy Bloomers. She also served 2 terms on the Mount Morris School Board.

She is survived by her son Todd (Shannon) Fowler of Mt. Morris. 2 granddaughters Hailey and Morgan Fowler of Mt. Morris. Sister Juleen Campbell of Mt. Morris. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loving friends. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene C. Fowler in 1987 and son Carl W. Fowler in 2007, her parents Joseph and Margaret Orlando, Brother Joseph Orlando, sister-in-law Jean Orlando and nephew Thomas Orlando.

Friends may call Monday from 3 - 8 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the United Church of Mount Morris at 3 pm. Pastor Jerry Swain Officiating. Graveside services will be held Sunday June 29 at 11 am at Mt. Morris Cemetery.
