MARY Jane "MJ" NEIS age 83 of 79 Hopkins Lane, Mount Morris, New York, died Friday October 6, 2017 at the Livingston County Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, NY. She was born the daughter of Harry and Lela (Wheeler) Smith on January 30, 1934 in Mount Morris, NY. She married James Neis in 1956. Prior to her retirement in 1987 she was employed as a Therapy Aid for nearly 40 years at the Rochester Psychiatric Center and for Fingerlakes DDSO at several area homes


She is survived by her son James L. Neis Jr. of Florida and daughter Patricia (John) Passamonte of Mount Morris. Grandchildren Terri Donovan, John (Andrea) Passamonte, Joe Passamonte and Sandy Passamonte. 3 Great Grandchildren Skye Walden, Carmen Passamonte and Brittany (Ian) Shultz and Great-Great grandchild Raelynn Mack. Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her Husband James Neis Sr. in 1985.
