Matthew W. Trippi age 90 of 97 Chapel Street, Mt. Morris, New York, died unexpectedly Saturday June 30, 2012 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born in Dansville, NY the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Guarino) Trippi. He married Phyllis (Hubertus) Trippi on April 18, 1948 who predeceased him on March 6, 2010 after 61 years of marriage. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mt. Morris, a US Army Veteran of WW II having served from 1942 - 1945. He had been employed by the Rochester Laborers Union Local 435 as a Union Steward, retiring after 25 years of service.

He is survived by his 4 children: Pamela Trippi Worboys of Mt. Morris, Theresa (Cleven) Caudill of Perry, Francis (Donna) Trippi of Leicester and Patricia (Mark) Suppa of Rochester; 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 children Roger in 1957 and Mary Darlene in 1989, a brother Joseph and 3 sisters; Rose, Mary and Delores.

Friends may call Monday, July 2, 2012, from 4-8 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where prayers will be said Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church at 9:30 am.
