MELANIE E. "Mel" FOLLETT age 60 of Mount Morris, New York, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday April 6, 2022 at her home.  She was born the Daughter of Maxine Dewey on July 11, 1961 in Dansville, NY.  She graduated from Mount Morris Central School in 1980.  She married Donnie "Don" Follett on September 2, 1978.  She retired in November of 2019 from the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris for over 31 years as a Transport Aid.   She founded Mel's Belles over 15 years ago with all the proceeds going to either local individuals fighting cancer or to Making Strides against Breast Cancer in Rochester.  She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo, CSEA and Sonyea Gold Club.  She loved to go golfing, shopping, traveling to the beach and spending time with her beloved 8 grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 44 years Donnie "Don".  3 daughters Jody (Jose Martes) Follett, Janelle (William) Manthey and Jamie Lee (Jeffrey Rolison) Follett all of Mount Morris.  8 Grandchildren Jasmine, Jayden and Jersey Follett-Martes, Jolee, William II and Jordan Manthey, Jagger and Jelani Rolison all of Mount Morris.  Mother-in-law Helen Follett of Mount Morris.  3 Sisters-in-law Diane (Roy) Franchi and Cathy (Rick) Forbes both of Mount Morris and Tammy (Jim) Bovard of Ithaca.  Many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear and loving friends.  She was predeceased by her mother Maxine Dewey in 1990, infant sister Deborah and Father-in-law Donald Follett in 2018.

No prior calling.  A life celebration will be held on Saturday July 9 at 2 pm at the family home at 7236 Mt. Morris-Nunda Road (Route 408), Mt.
