MICHAEL J. CAREY SR. age 55 of 2 Eagle Street, Mount Morris, NY 14510, died Wednesday January 2, 2013 at his home in Mount Morris. He was born the son of Robert and Mary Jane (D'Imperio) Carey on March 17, 1957 in Dansville, New York. He was a graduate of Mount Morris Central School. He was employed as an Equipment Operator for the Laborers Union Local #435 in Rochester, NY for over 25 years. He had also work for Yencer Construction in Mount Morris for several years. He was a member of the Laborer's Union #432 in Rochester, NY and St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris.

He is survived by his 2 children Michael J. Carey Jr. of Geneseo and Lindsay (Doug) Stanley of Mt. Morris. 2 Grandchildren Adrian Michael Carey and Natalie Stanley. His parents Robert and Mary Jane Carey of Mt. Morris and his sister Susan (Grant) Babcock and 2 nephews Ryan and Evan Babcock all of Niagara Falls. Aunts, uncles and cousins and many dear and loving Friends.

Friends may call Friday from 3 - 7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where prayers will be said Saturday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church at 9:30 am.
