NICHOLAS SAMUEL "Nick" RIZZO age 83 of Mount Morris, NY, died Wednesday May 2, 2018 at the Livingston County Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris. He was born the son of Andrew and Carrie (Pellegrino) Rizzo on July 11, 1934 in Warsaw, NY. He served during the Korean Conflict from 1954 to 1956 and was in the 27th Wolfhound Unit of the United States Army. He married Patricia Cordier on June 28, 1958. Nick was a Recreational Leader at Craig Developmental Center "Sonyea" and the New York State Department of Corrections, Groveland. He retired in 1991 after serving 31 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Knights of Columbus, PEF Union Member and CSEA.


He was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia in 2016. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of nearly 60 years Patricia "Pat", three daughters Christina (John) of New York, Karen (Scott) of Illinois and Andrea of California. Also, his son-in-law Greg of Rochester, four grandchildren Caitlin, Taylor, Zachary and Wyatt. Plus, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.


Friends may call Friday from 4-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where prayer will be said Saturday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church at 9:30 am.
