Patricia McCarthy Wirt accepted her angel wings peacefully on September 18, 2024. She was 88 years young.  Her parents were Clair & Claudia McCarthy. She has three sisters, Anne Lawson, Kathleen Melvin, and Julia Donovan.

She was married thirty-seven years to Lester Raymond Wirt (predeceased). They had six children Francis Wirt, Shiela Piper, Claudia Forrest, Jonathan Wirt (predeceased), Veronica Wirt (predeceased), Gretchen Saunders.  She has twelve Grandchildren and eighteen Great Grand Children.

Patricia was loved by her significant other Richard E. Burt for 20 years (predeceased). Patricia had the pleasure of being loved by his five children Bill, Laurie, Steve, Doug, and Tom along with their spouses and grandchildren.

PW will be remembered most by how giving she was and her unconditional love for others. Along with her witty personality that everyone loved, that got the chance to get to meet her.

PW loved peaceful surroundings, the outdoors, flower gardening, house plants, fires, walks, puzzles, word searches, playing cribbage and her "one" scotch & club soda. All while taking it One Day At  A Time. She enjoyed meeting new people and becoming friends.

Patricia worked at Murray Hill for 30 plus years, first as a caregiver, then as a hairdresser. She was always thinking of others and trying to help in a positive way right to the end of her journey on Earth.   She will be missed dearly by many! Her voice and laughter will forever be in our thoughts and hearts.

A special thanks to Meg Wirt (Jonathan's widow) for helping her mother-in-law so she could be at home surrounded by love from family and friends.
