Rhoanna P. Yasso

RHOANNA P. YASSO, 96, of Leicester, NY, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026, at URMC/Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. She was born February 2, 1930, in Wolcott, New York, the daughter of Clifton and Laura (Dobbin) Pettit. Rhoanna was a dedicated farm wife and served as an administrative assistant for Cornell Cooperative Extension in Mt. Morris for over 21 years. She was a member of the Auxiliary of the Carlton Boise American Legion in Leicester, a former Girl Scout troop leader, and a 4-H beef club leader for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, John "Johnny" Yasso, in 2010; by five brothers, Robert, Clifton, Howard, Leslie, and Leroy Pettit; and by four sisters, Emmajean Powell, Margaret Lawson, Mary Stiegler, and Laurie Mitchell.

Rhoanna is survived by her three children, John (Mary) Yasso of Leicester, NY, Cindy Creamer of Leicester, NY, and Cheryl (Kevin) Sura of Winchester, VA; seven grandchildren, Jason, Megan, Chris, Matt, Jennifer, Casey, and Lauren; six great-grandchildren, Joel, Riley, Saige, Teagan, Lilly, and Maddie; and one great-great-grandchild Eleanor.
