RICHARD L. "Dick" GORDON age 76 of Florida, formerly of Herkimer, New York died Tuesday April 17, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. He was born the son of Leonard and Lillian (Barber) Gordon on August 24, 1935 in Keeseville, New York. He married Nancy Mann on July 4, 1957. Prior to his retirement, he owned and operated Gordon's Meat Market in Richfield Springs, NY. He was a butcher for over 40 years and was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local Union in Utica, NY. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Ilion, NY and Palmetto, Florida. During his retirement, he enjoyed travel and was an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Nancy, 4 Children Debra (Tom) Roskowski of Avon, Diana (Kevin) Cort of Clifton Springs, Gregory Richard (Debra) Gordon of Virginia Beach, VA and Doreen (Sal) Fiorentino of Urbana, MD. as well as 9 grandchildren and 1 sister, Joyce, of Keeseville, NY. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday June 30, at 11 am at Mount Morris Cemetery. Arrangements by the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
