RICHARD J. MASONIS age 87 of 10 Glen Morris Avenue, Mount Morris died Friday January 23, 2015 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born the son of John and Jennie (Longhine) Masonis Sr. on March 26, 1927 in Cuylerville, NY. He was a veteran of the Navy during World War II having served in the Pacific. He married Angeline Gulisano on January 5, 1952. Prior to his retirement in 1989 he was employed as a maintenance Superintendent at AKZO Nobel Salt in Retsof for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Carlton-Boies American Legion in Cuylerville and the Old Timers Group from the salt mine.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Angeline. 2 daughters Jane (Keith) Petti of Dansville and Patty (Dan) Anzalone of Mt. Morris. 3 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. 1 brother John Masonis Jr. of Geneseo. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson Richard Petti in 2012 and his sister Mary Welch.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, where prayers will be said Wednesday at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church at 9:30 am.
