ROBERT K. ABERTH SR. age 85 of 2169 Coverdale Road, Leicester, New York, died Tuesday May 1, 2012, 2008 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born the son of George and Marion (Herring) Aberth on April 27, 1927. He was a veteran of the Army during World War II. He married Teresa Claud on October 11, 1948. Prior to his retirement in 1984 he was employed at Groveland Correctional Facility and Attica State Prison for over 20 years. He was a member of the Correctional Officers Union and was and avid hunter and enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 64 years Teresa Aberth, 1 son Robert (Karen) Aberth Jr. of WA, 2 daughters Marilyn Aberth of Leicester & Patty Oakley of Conesus. 2 Grandchildren Rick Oakley Jr., Heather (Randy) Oakley, 2 Great Grandchildren Kelsey & Colin all of Leicester. 3 Sisters Eileen Olin and Lorraine Willy both of Perry and Jean (Roger) Booth of Warsaw and sister-in-law Eleanor Aberth of Perry. He was predeceased by his sons Timothy Paul in 1968, William R. "Bill" in 2008 and brother Harold Aberth.

Friends may call Friday 3-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am. The Reverend Dave Hotchkiss officiating. Interment with military honors at Leicester Cemetery. Memorials may be made to either the Leicester or Cuylerville Fire Departments.
