Robert J. Canuti age 70 of Parker Hill Road in Sparta, died Wednesday July 2, 2014 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born the son of Val M. (Hall) and Beulah M. Canuti on September 11, 1943 in Dansville, NY. Robert was a graduate of Mt. Morris Central School and was a US Navy Veteran having served for four years during the Vietnam Conflict. He had been employed at Kodak in Rochester for many years as a Technician, and was a member of the Livingston County Outdoor Club, where he had served as Vice President and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.

He is survived by a son; T. Robert Canuti of Dansville; a grandson; Seth R. Gardner of Dansville; a sister; Valerie (Barry Sanford) Canute of Dalton, and a brother; Ronald Canuti of Mt. Morris, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Monday (July 7, 2014) from 10:00 am to 1:00pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours (1:00 pm). Father Edward Dillon officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Mt. Morris.
