ROBERT J. CAREY age 89 of Eagle Street, Mount Morris, New York, died Thursday March 19, 2020 at North Gate Nursing Facility in North Tonawanda, New York.  He was born the son of Dewey and Helena (Nice) Carey on October 3, 1930 in Dansville, New York.  He was a veteran of the Navy from 1948 to 1952.  He married Mary Jane D'Imperio on May 21, 1955.  Prior to his retirement in 1985 he was employed as an Electrician at Craig Development Center in Sonyea.  He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Hally-Allen American Legion Post # 1341 in Sonyea, the Active Hose Company of the Mount Morris Fire Department for over 41 years and CSEA.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years Mary Jane.  Daughter Susan (Grant) Babcock of Niagara Falls.  4 Grandchildren Michael Carey Jr. of Geneseo, Lindsay (Doug) Stanley of Mt. Morris, Ryan Babcock of Buffalo and Evan Babcock of South Carolina.  3 Great grandchildren Adrian Michael Carey and Natalie and Aubrey Stanley.  Brother John (Carol) Carey of Dansville.  Many nieces, nephews and dear and loving friends.  He was predeceased by his Son Michael Sr. in 2013

Memorial Mass at St. Patrick's Church will be held on Saturday June 12 at 9:30 am at St. Patrick's Church.  Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers.  Memorials may be made to your local humane society.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
