ROBERT J. CLAUD age 72 of 2273 Leicester Road, Leicester, NY, died Wednesday August 21, 2013 at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born the son of Paul and Susan (Moultrop) Claud on February 7, 1941 in Dansville, NY. He married Sarah Mattice on September 14, 1963. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 until 1968. He worked as a self employed Carpenter for nearly 45 years. He was a member the York-Leicester Kiwanis Club where he received the Hixson Award and was a past president and the Carlton-Boise VFW post in Cuylerville. He attended the Leicester Presbyterian Church. He also was a former Senior Citizen of the Year for the Town of Leicester.

He is survived by loving wife of nearly 50 years Sarah "Sally". Son Dwayne (Sarah) Claud of Leicester. 3 Grandchildren Jesse, Skylar and Allison all of Leicester. 1 brother Elwood (Jean) Claud of Perry Center. 4 Sisters Cathleen (Joe) Koch and Theresa Aberth both of Leicester, Susan (Don) Clark of Perry and Charlotte (Marshall) Cox of Port Byron. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers Paul, Bill and Ed and 4 sisters Julia, Helen, Dorothy and Betty.

Friends may call Sunday from 1- 5 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am at the Leicester Presbyterian Church. The Reverend David Missel officiating. Interment Leicester Cemetery.
