ROBERT P. LEWIS I age 76 of 8318 Creek Road, Nunda, New York, died Thursday December 29, 2016 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. He was born the son of Edward and Nora (Johnson) Lewis on October 14, 1940 in Belmont, New York. He married Janet Saville on August 27, 1988. He served in the Marine Corp from 1959 to 1963. Prior to his retirement in 1992 he was a shift foreman at Alcan Aluminum is Oswego for nearly 30 years.


He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Janet. 7 Children Kym (Bradley) Cross of AK, Stacey Hawkins of PA, Robert (Melissa) Lewis II of Oswego, Scott (Ellen Phelps) Lewis of Groveland, Curt Bugman of SC, Jill (Jason) Burley of Dalton and Jamie Tanner of Rush. 14 grandchildren. 5 brothers Ken (Marilyn) Lewis of Grand Island, Donald (Wanda), Leroy (Mary Beth), Steve (Mary) and Les (Luanne) Lewis all of Hornell. 3 sisters Anita (Carl) and Jeannie (Alton) Derick both of Avoca and Janice (Jim) Raisch of Hornell. Many nieces and nephews.


Friends may call Monday from 2 to 5 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Funeral services will be held Monday at 5 pm.
