ROBERT "BOB" MAHONEY age 88 of Leicester died Thursday September 2, 2021.  Born in Leicester, New York in the family home on June 25, 1933.  He was predeceased by his Wife Barbara Bernard Mahoney, Father Carlton "Pat" Mahoney, mother Velma Winter Mahoney, Brother Chris Mahoney, infant sister Mary Louise Mahoney.

He supported his community of Leicester for over 80 years.  Servicing as Vice Mayor for 10 years and serving on both Town and Village boards.  He was a member for over 70 years and office holder of the Leicester Fire Department, American Legion, York-Leicester Kiwanis and the Boy Scouts.  He was a charter member #1 of the A-on-da-wa-noh Sportsman Club and has served over 60 years.  He was the sponsor of New York State Motor vehicle law for historical registration, and lifelong antique Automobile enthusiast.  After military service from 1953-55 he worked for International Salt Company for 15 years.  He then worked for Livingston County for over 22 years retiring as Livingston County Director of Buildings, Grounds and Parks.

He is survived by his children Denise Gambino and Michael Mahoney.  4 Grandchildren Eric, Amy, Rachel and Erin.  2 Great Grandchildren Lawson and Aubriella Miller.  Also survived by his Sister Patricia Stewart and sister-in-law Carol Mahoney.  Several Nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.

Friends may call Tuesday September 7, from 4 to 6 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday September 8 at 11 am.
