ROGER D. YENCER age 72 of Mount Morris, NY, died peacefully on Friday September 25, 2020 at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.  He was born the son of Robert and Adeline "Toby" (Kanaval) Yencer on June 20, 1948 in Warsaw, NY.  He was a veteran of the Marines having served his country during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 69.  Prior to his retirement in 2007 he owned and operated Yencer Construction for over 30 years.  He was a member of the Hally-Allen American Legion Post 1341 in Sonyea.  Roger was dedicated to both his country and his hometown of Mount Morris where his vision and community support led to the construction of the Mount Morris Veteran's Park on Main Street.

He is survived by his children Amy (Suzie) Yencer, Nicholas Shea, Robert (Sara) Yencer, Roger (Amanda Rae Traynor) Yencer all of Mount Morris and James (Kayleigh) Regatuso of Lima.  12 Grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.  Brother Jim (Patty) Yencer of Mount Morris and 2 Sisters Barbara (Rick) Beyer of Greece and Ann Gottorff of Rochester.  Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear and loving friends.

Friends may call at Roger's Home on Cleveland Road on Wednesday, September 30 from 11 am to 2 pm where services will be held at 2pm followed by Graveside Services at Dutch Street Cemetery in Mount Morris with full military honors.  A family gathering after burial at Yencer Family Home on Cleveland Road, Mt.
