ROLLAND "Rollie" E. BARNHART age 86 of Leicester, formerly of Mount Morris, died on Saturday January 6, 2024, at Noyes/ UR Medical Center in Dansville, NY. He was born the son of Robert and Florence (Hall) Barnhart on August 9, 1937, in Wayland, NY.  He married Jane Battaglia on August 9, 1958. He retired from Groveland Correctional Facility as a Truck Driver in 2001.  He also worked as a Police Officer for over 29 years having retired in 1993 having worked for the Mount Morris Police Department in 1964 and the Geneseo Police Department 1978. He was a 64-year member of the Mount Morris Fire Department, having joined in 1960 and served as Fire chief from 1978 to 1980.

He was predeceased by his wife of over 63 years Jane on May 24, 2021. He is survived by his Children Eva Dupont, Brenda LaVerdi, Donald (Jeannie) Barnhart, Donna (Eric) Frankman and Wesley (Amy) Barnhart.  Grandchildren Trevor (Melissa), Dominique (Andy), Sean (Kayla), David, Jahna, Jillian, Jacquelyn, Victoria, Elizabeth, Jordanne (Ben) and Jessica (Nick).  Great Grandchildren Kayden, Aubree, Ryleigh, Emma Rose, Jack, Emma Grace, Nicko, Jillian Jane, Jane and Remi.  Brother Tony (Kristina) Barone. Nieces, nephews and many dear and loving friends including Bob Skinner.
