Rosalind "Roz" was born in Wallingford, CT on February 5, 1934 to Raymond E. and Mary Agnes (Loughlin) Delaney. Roz's family traveled to Colorado before settling in Tonawanda, NY where she graduated from Kenmore High School in 1952. While continuing her education in Nursing, Roz met and married Joseph L. DiGioia from Mt. Morris, NY. During her marriage, Roz continued her education graduating from Alfred University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Eventually she followed her heart and counseled Alcohol and Drug Addiction individuals. Her support and guidance touched many in the V.A. system and Monroe County Prison until her retirement in 1990. Joe and Roz started a new adventure then relocating to Lake Wales, FL. They enjoyed 16 years together in their new home until Joe's death in 2009. Married 56 years, Joe and Roz shared love of family, friends and community in both Mt. Morris, NY and Lake Wales, FL. Roz moved to Chatham, MA to be near family in 2010.


Roz is predeceased by her parents, her husband, a sister Rosemary and her brother George. She is survived by her daughter Diane (Ken) Asai, son Thomas and daughter Janice (Gerald Evans) DiGioia as well as grandchildren Sarah (Travis), Abby (Patrick),  Caitlin, Kimberly and Mary: great-grandchildren Ayla and Amelia Brown and Joseph James McKay plus many nieces and nephews.

No Prior Calling.  Graveside services will be held at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Mt. Morris, NY on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11 am with Reverend Edward Dillon officiating.  Donations may be made in Rosalind DiGioia's name to Alzheimer's Family Support Center of Cape Cod or Broad Reach Hospice & Palliative Care, N.
