ROY J. McKENZIE SR. age 86 of Mount Morris, New York, on Friday June 23, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.  He was born the son of William and Susan McKenzie Sr. on August 3, 1936 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.   He married Joyce Fogarty on August 11, 1958.  Prior to his retirement in 1998 he was employed as a Developmental Assistant for Fingerlakes DDSO at the Livonia Community Residence for nearly 15 years.  He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Mt. Morris Kiwanis Club where he was a former past President, CSEA, Cribbage Association Congress and was a former Mount Morris Senior Citizen of the Year.  Roy enjoyed playing cards especially Cribbage and Euchre and being involved in his community and spending time with his family.

He is survived by 4 Children Roy (Rose) McKenzie Jr., Wayne (Kim) McKenzie, Dawn Carey all of Mount Morris and Darryl McKenzie of Baldwinsville.  Son-in-Law Gary Randles of St. Johns, New Brunswick, Canada.  12 Grandchildren Jason, Bryan, Matthew, Jonathon, Julie, Joshua, Alicia, Emily, Allison, Jessica, Trevor and Travis.  4 Great Grandchildren Hannah, Jameson, Rory and Landon.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loving friends.  He was predeceased by his wife Joyce in 2013, son Daniel in 1971 and 2 daughters Deborah McKenzie in 2015 and Eileen Randles in 2022 and daughter-in-law Cynthia McKenzie in 2015.

Friends may call Saturday July 1 from 11-1 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, NY where Funeral services will be held at 1 pm.   Interment with Military Honors will be held at a later date at St. Patrick's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers.  Memorials may be made to Mount Morris Ambulance Fund or the Mt.
