RUSSELL J. CALMES age 60 of Leicester, New York, died suddenly Friday June 26, 2020 at his home in Leicester.  He was born the son of Louis and Hazel (Metzger) Calmes on April 8, 1960 in Sheldon, New York.  He married Linda Chalifour on November 17, 1995.  He was employed as a Mechanic by the New York State Thruway Authority in Henrietta for nearly 5 years having worked as a mechanic his whole adult life.  He was a member of CSEA and NRA.  His hobby was working from home as a mechanic for his friends and family.

He is survived his loving wife of nearly 25 years Linda.  Children Martin (Julie) Beauchamp of Ottawa and Gaetan (Lindsay) Beauchamp of LeRoy.  6 grandchildren Eden, Jace, Aris, Cynthia, Alexya and Zackiel.  3 sisters Mary Ann (Gary) Eck of Varysburg, Judy Rakoska of Nunda and Evelyn (Timothy) Gabel of Fillmore.  Many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother Douglas Joseph Calmes.

No prior calling.  Memorial Mass to be held Friday July 3 at 10 am at St. Thomas-Aquinas Church, Main Street (Routes 20A & 39), Leicester, NY.  Reverend Bernard Dan officiating.  In lieu of flowers.  Memorials may be made to his family who is establishing a Scholarship for local students attending Mechanical School.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
