RUSSELL S. GENCO age 90 of 16 Glen Morris Avenue, Mount Morris, died Monday January 16, 2012 at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, New York. He was born the son of Gasper and Crocifissa Genco on June 11, 1921 in Mount Morris, New York. He was a life resident of Mount Morris. He was a veteran of Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement in 1981 he was employed at Rochester Products Division of General Motors as a Project Design Engineer for nearly 30 years. He had Also work for NASA in the early 1950's. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minster to the sick and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Iroquois Trail Council of the Boy Scouts of America, he was also an Eagle Scout. He was a board member and past president of the Mount Morris Library. He also enjoyed Coaching Basketball at St. Patrick's School in the CYO League for many years.

He is survived by his 2 children R. David (Doris) Genco of Denver, CO and Patricia (James) Mann of Mount Morris. 3 grandchildren Jamie (Joan) Mann, Jason (Sarah) Mann and Jennifer (Chris) Young all of Mount Morris, NY. 5 Great Grandchildren Alec and Adriana Mann, Evan Mann and Collin and Chase Young all of Mount Morris. Sister-in-law Joyce Tantillo of Mount Morris. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loving friends including Helen Mogavero of Florida. He was predeceased by his wife Rosalia in 2001.

Friends may call Wednesday from 3-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, where prayers will be said Thursday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 am at St. Patrick's Church.
