RUTH A. CROSTON age 82 of 120 Murray Street, Mount Morris, NY, died Sunday August 3, 2014 at the Livingston County Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, NY. She was born the daughter of Richard and Genevieve (McComb) Donovan on April 15, 1932 in Mt. Morris, NY. She was a life resident of Mt. Morris. She married Arthur R. Croston Jr. on January 3, 1952. Prior to her retirement in 1986 she was employed at the TB Hospital in Mt. Morris and Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea for over 20 years as a Switch board operator. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris. She was loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed knitting and crocheting mittens and doilies. In her later years she enjoyed yard sales and flea markets, bird watching and she never met a crossword puzzle she couldn't finish.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Arthur. 5 children Daniel Croston of Warsaw, Carol (David) Thompson and Barbara (David) Galvin both of Leicester and James and John Croston both of Mt. Morris. 4 Grandchildren Shannon, Jesse, Katie and Kelsey. Sister Katherine Hoag of Dansville and brother Robert (Mickey) Donovan of Mt. Morris. Sister-in-law Marion Krukowski of Fairport and brother-in-law Robert (Gert) Croston of Rush. Several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Doris Dennison, brother Richard Donovan and sister-in-law Dorothy Croston. The family would like to thank the staff on Memory Lane at the Livingston County CNR for the attentive and excellent care given to Ruth.
