SALVATORE "SAM" J. DIOGUARDI age 91 of 5 Dio Lane, Mount Morris, New York, died on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at the Livingston County CNR in Mount Morris, NY. He was born the son of Sarah Noto DioGuardi on October 24, 1926 in Jamestown, NY. He married Dolores Cucinotta on November 21, 1959. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a Guidance Counselor at the Charles G. May Occupational Center (BOCES) in Mount Morris for over 20 year having retired in 1985. He was a former Village Justice and Village Trustee for Mt. Morris, Mount Morris Central School Board for many terms, the New York State Magistrates Association, the New York State Teachers Association, Board of Visitors for Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea. He was also a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years Dolores in 2016 and his mother Sarah DioGuardi in 1989. He is survived by his loving Daughter Dina (Frank) Provo of Mt. Morris. 2 Grandchildren Janelle Provo of Buffalo and Thomas (Kristin) Provo of Mt. Morris. Great grandson Jack Provo of Mt. Morris. His Siblings Joseph (Rose Marie) DioGuardi, Anthony (Dorothea) DioGuardi, John (Peggy) DioGuardi, Chuck (Nancy) DioGuardi all of Mt. Morris, Ida (Jerry) Meek of AZ, Sarah (Jim) Quirk of Rochester, Donna Perham of Piffard, Ann Sullivan of FL, Julie Brennan of VT, Sharon (Jim) Farrell of Rochester. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear and loving friends including Dennis DeMasi. He was also predeceased by brothers Patrick, Richard and Carmine DioGuardi & Sister JoAnn Prew.

Friends may call Saturday April 21 from 10 - 12 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Saturday.
