Samuel P. Tuso Sr. age 77 of West Henrietta, NY, died Thursday June 20, 2024 at his home in West Henrietta. He was born the son of Salvatore and Rose Marie (DioGuardi) Tuso on May 9, 1947 in Dansville, NY.  Sam was a very hard working individual who loved to work. He was the owner/operator of several businesses over the years, including Carpet Nomics, a carpet installation Company in West Henrietta that he owned and operated for many years.  He also installed carpet for Mount Morris Furniture and was a switchman for Rochester Telephone.  He enjoyed his music collection and going to concerts which inspired the love of music and concerts to his children.  He also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his beloved cat, Sterling.

Besides his parent's he was predeceased by; a brother, Joseph Tuso, nieces and nephews Jeremy Tuso, Sam Dale, Eddy and Colleen Claud and a sister-in-law Betsy Cullen Claud. He is survived by his children; Samuel P. (Mary Beth) Tuso Jr. of Leicester, 2 daughter's; Betsy (Jeff) Vanvolkenburg of Livonia and Paula Claud of Mt. Morris, 5 Grandchildren; Sammy Ray (Melissa) Tuso of Leicester, Jeffrey Vanvolkenburg of Brighton, Shannonlee (Branden) Crane of Watkins Glen, Christina Vanvolkenburg of Livonia, and Taylor Vanvolkenburg of Brighton.  3 Great Grandchildren;  3 nephew's; Adam Tuso of Dansville, Joey Tuso of N. Carolina and E Claud, Great nieces McKenzie claud and Michaela Sonnleitner,Great nephews Nate (Shelbye) Sonnleitner and Philip (Kate) Sonnleitner and a longtime friend Penny Taylor.

Friends may call Saturday July 27, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where   Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2:15 PM.  Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mt.
