Sara Lowery age 93 of Mt. Morris, died peacefully at home on October 15, 2023. Born on June 11, 1930 in Mt. Morris, NY the youngest of eight children to Salvatore and Gaetana (DiGregorio) Cappadonia, she was a life resident of Mount Morris. Sara married Pete Lowery in 1949. Prior to her retirement in 1994 she was employed by SUNY Geneseo for 20 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church and CSEA. Sara was a generous, witty, and caring person who loved her family, friends, and pets.

She is survived by her daughter, Debora Lowery (Greg Rapone). Sara is also survived by her sisters-in-law Ruthmary Cappadonia of Geneseo, NY and Ellen Cappadonia of Naples, FL as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Pete in 1977 and their infant sons, as well as her siblings Fannie D'Anna (Charles), Joseph Cappadonia (Angie), Margaret Morreale (Joseph), Josephine Palermo (Frank), Anna Sacco (Sam), Peter Cappadonia, and Frank Cappadonia.

Friends may call from 9:00-11:00am on Friday, October 20, 2023 at John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408), Mount Morris, where funeral services will be at 11am.
