SARAH PALERMO FORBES age 99 of Leicester, New York, died peacefully Friday August 30, 2019 at the Avon Nursing Home. She was born the daughter of Joseph and Paola (Salvia) Palermo on November 29, 1919 in Cuylerville, New York. She married John E. Forbes Jr. Prior to her retirement she taught Business Machine class at the Charles G. May Occupational Center in Mount Morris for over 30 years. She also owned and operated with her husband, Forbes Tack Shop in Leicester for many years. She also worked in Real Estate and was a hairdresser. She was a member of the New York State Teachers Association and the York-Leicester Kiwanis Club. She enjoy traveling worldwide.

She is survived by her 3 sisters Victoria Delabardo of Hilton, Josephine Eastman of Florida and Marianne Foote of Mt. Morris. Brother Jerry (Linda) Palermo of Avon. Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband John E. Forbes Jr. in 1990.

No prior calling. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 7 at 11 am at Leicester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers.
