Warren "Foxy" Stradley, 90, passed away on January 10, 2018 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. Warren was born to Raymond and Emma Stradley on August 24, 1927 in Meshoppen, PA. He is predeceased by his wife Janet Stradley (Cornish); his daughter, Donna Burdick; his granddaughter, Stacie Burdick; and his grandson, Jason Hurlburt.


Warren is survived by his children of three marriages: Joni Hayes, Evelyn Hurlburt (Sookie), Karen Page (Thomas), David Tenney, and William Tenney; his sister, Doris McFall and his nephew, Dennis McFall. In addition, Warren lives on in the memories of his 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.


Warren was a member of United States Coast Guard and dedicated over 35 years of his life as a welder and fabricator at the Retsof Salt Mine. As a young man, Warren excelled at boxing by winning a Golden Glove title. He was a member of several country western bands, including the Twilight Rangers, Kenny Hey and the Northernairs, The Genesee Three, and Hank and the Hustlers. After his retirement from the salt mine, Warren dedicated his time to maintaining and driving his Cadillac, playing his guitar, watching NASCAR races, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.


Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at the John W. Martin Funeral Home 37 Chapel Street (Route 408) in Mt. Morris, NY. The burial will be on Thursday, January 18th at 1 pm at Rose Ridge Cemetery, 8346 West Hollow Road, Naples, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mount Morris Ambulance Service, Inc.
