Warren Clifford Wood age 77 formerly of 1727 Mill Street in Dalton, New York, died Monday December 31, 2012 at The Highlands of Brighton in Brighton, NY where he had been a resident since 2009. He was born the son of the late Leon D. and Doris R. (Rathbun) Wood on September 5, 1935 in Nunda, NY. Warren was a graduate of Nunda Central School and a member of the National Guard prior to his service as a US Army Veteran. Warren was married February 2, 1961 in Dalton, NY to Esther L. (Main) Wood who died on May 24, 2002 after 41 years of marriage. He had been employed as a Security Officer at Craig Developmental Center retiring after 33 years of service. Warren had served in many capacities for the Nunda Fire Department including 1st Asst Chief, President for 18 years and currently a Past President along with serving on many Committees for the Nunda Fire Dept., a Past President of the Livingston County Chiefs Assoc. where he served as President for 21 years, Past President of the Local Union # 1790 at Craig Developmental Center, Interim President of Council 82, served on the W.N.Y.V.F.A Parade Committee for many years, a member of FASNY, and a Life Member of W.N.Y.V.F.A., L.C.F.F.A., and the L.C.C.A.. Warren was also an avid antique fire fighting equipment collector, a loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.

He is survived by 3 son's; Joe (Peggy) Wood of Dalton, Brian (Sherry) Wood and Charles (Clara Nuciola) Wood both of Nunda, Grandchildren; Christina Wood, Rochelle Guldenschuh, Amber and Tiffany Funk and Ryan Wood; Great Grandchildren; Brody, Chase and Hunter Wood, Rae Lyn Guldenschuh; and a sister-in-law Laurie Crandall.

Friends may call Saturday January 12, 2013 from 10:00-11:00am at the Dalton United Methodist Church in Dalton, NY where Warren's Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am.
