WENDY J. (HOWARD) DOWNEY age 68 of 7 Melodee Lane, Nunda, died peacefully on Wednesday September 7, 2016 at her home. She was born the daughter of Wendell and Joyce (Werner) Howard on July 30, 1948 in Nunda, NY. She grew up in Dalton, NY and Graduated from Nunda High School. She married Richard Downey on January 6, 1968. Prior to her retirement she was an Account Clerk at Keshequa Central School and for BOCES for over 15 years. She was a member of Trinity Church in Nunda and the Nunda Historical Society.

She is survived by her 3 Children Michael (Jennifer) Downey of CA, Jennifer (Fritz) Amrhein of Nunda & Leah (Tom) Burger of Rochester. 6 Grandchildren Chelsea & Chase Amrhein, Haileigh & Conlin Burger and Amber & Brittany McQuillen. 1 Sister Susan (Thomas) Timothy, 3 Brothers Wendell "Chip" Howard, Marty (Kelley) Howard, Randy Howard. Several nieces, nephews & cousins and many dear and loving friends. She was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2008, parents Wendell & Joyce Howard and brother Daniel Howard.

Friends may call Saturday from 1 - 5 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11am at Trinity Church, 25 East Street in Nunda. Ron Duttweiller officiating. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mt. Morris, NY. In Lieu of Flowers.
